AEF celebrates 10 year anniversary 28th of October 2018 - Kverneland Group is a proud partner from day one!

On 28th of October 2008 seven international manufacturers of agricultural machinery and two associations founded the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), where Kverneland Group was and still is a core member and central contributor.

Today, AEF includes eight manufacturers and three associations as core members. In addition to this there are 220 additional members supporting the AEF’s objectives:

“Improvement of the multi-brand compatibility of electronic and electric components of agricultural equipment using ISOBUS as well as securing transparency when it comes to compatibility issues.”

Kverneland Group very much supports the work of AEF and contributes actively in many projects running in standardisation and future farming development, all to support a Smart, Efficient and Easy day to day farm work. There is such a broad offering in precision farming technology, and the essence is to keep things simple from tractor to implement to field to yield. AEF celebrated this special anniversary on 19th of September 2018 in Bologna in connection with the Plugfest taking place from 18th to 20th of September 2018.

The CTO in Kverneland Group Mechatronics, Peter van der Vlugt, is the AEF Chairman and says the following about this anniversary:

“AEF is an independent international organisation working for an increase of use of standardised electronics in farming. The 10 year anniversary and the increase in members just states the importance of the joint effort for introducing the use of electronics in the farmer’s everyday life”
